Package: lastfm
Severity: serious
There are several commands like the following in the lastfm postinst:
gconftool-2 --direct --config-source
xml:readwrite:/etc/gconf/gconf.xml.defaults \
--type string --set /desktop/gnome/url-handlers/lastfm/command \
"/usr/bin/lastfm %s" > /dev/null
As there isn't even a check of the existing values, this messes with the
default gconf source and can override changes made by the local
administrator.
There is a mechanism meant to deal with such cases, which is
update-gconf-defaults. This is easily achieved using dh_gconf. Just
create a debian/gconf-defaults file, containing one entry per line, for
example:
/desktop/gnome/url-handlers/lastfm/command "/usr/bin/lastfm %s"
Then, you call dh_gconf in the binary-arch target, and everything else
should be automatic.
