The following files or directories from the user home are used at fluxbox start, please remove them (or move them temporaly) and confirm if the problem is still there:
.Xauthority .Xdefaults .Xdefaults-YOUR_HOSTNAME .fluxbox .fontconfig .fonts .icons Also, what do you exactly mean by "if i create a new users, with no groups at all, it starts fine". In what groups are your not working user and working users ? You could also provide more information by logging in X in "terminal safe", then running: fluxbox -log ~/fluxbox.log Running "strace -s 512 -o ~/.fluxbox.trace fluxbox" in "terminal safe" mode could also be usefull.
