Hi peter -- thanks for the patch. I have a similar one in my own tree, which works well enough to connect to the RVP server, but not well enough to actually chat with it. Upstream says he has a more workable patch, but hasn't published it -- I'll see if I can get it out of him, since it's better than dropping the package from etch.
