Package: keyboard-configuration Version: 1.244 Hi,
the dependency issue with keyboard-configuration_1.244_all.deb can temporarily be fixed by replacing the following lines in its control file: Version: 1.244b Depends: debconf (>= 0.5) | debconf-2.0, liblocale-gettext-perl, xkb-data (>= 2.42~), xkb-data (<< 2.46A) After the replacement xkb-data_2.46-1_all.deb happily installs, however, the symbolic link /usr/share/X11/xkb -> ../xkeyboard-config-2 is not honored by the package manager, because of a previously existing directory /usr/share/X11/xkb in version 2.42-1 of xkb-data. This directory becomes now empty and Xorg not finding its configuration files terminates upon next restart. Since the symbolic link exists in xkb-data_2.46-1_all.deb, I believe this is a bug in the package manager. Manually creating the missing link resolves the issue.
