Package: telepathy Version: 0.2.2-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
I'm trying polari. Whenever I try to connect to any network, the UI says the connection failed, and the user journal shows this: nov 21 14:07:27 ava org.freedesktop.Telepathy.ConnectionManager.idle[11724]: /usr/lib/telepathy/telepathy-idle: error while loading shared libraries: libdbus-glib-1.so.2: failed to map segment from shared object I can reproduce this easily in a shell as well: $ /usr/lib/telepathy/telepathy-idle --help /usr/lib/telepathy/telepathy-idle: error while loading shared libraries: libdbus-glib-1.so.2: failed to map segment from shared object This is an arm64 system. I tried to reproduce it on an amd64, before upgrading, and couldn't - telepathy-idle would start without problem. After upgrading and rebooting, I could then reproduce the same problem. Very few packages in this last upgrade seemed to be probably cause for this. As there was a kernel upgrade, I tried rebooting into the old kernel (6.16), and then I could not reproduce the issue anymore. I'm reporting this against linux because other packages using libdbus-glib (e.g. hexchat) work just fine. -- System Information: Debian Release: forky/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (900, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: arm64 (aarch64) Kernel: Linux 6.17.8+deb14-arm64 (SMP w/32 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=pt_BR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=pt_BR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8), LANGUAGE not set Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages telepathy-idle depends on: ii libc6 2.41-12 ii libdbus-glib-1-2 0.114-2 ii libglib2.0-0t64 2.86.1-2 ii libtelepathy-glib0t64 0.24.2-3 telepathy-idle recommends no packages. telepathy-idle suggests no packages. -- no debconf information
