and thanks for the patch! but it's huge and makes our version
significantly divergent from upstream.
All those fixes are in the latest version from upstream.
A better solution would be to upgrade the package, which has been on my
TODO list for a while.
If you can wait a couple of weeks I can do the upgrade to 1.15 before
the end of this month.
