PMIx upstream concluded the bug is ultimately in PRRTE 3.0.11, which was included with OpenMPI 5.0.8. It is fixed in PRRTE 3.0.12 and included in OpenMPI 5.0.9. openmpi upgrade request filed Bug#1120481 This is not a bug in scotch itself, so downgrading bug severity to normal. Can close this bug once prrte is fixed and ptscotch tests are reenabled (and passing).
