Thanks for your bug report.  I don't see strong evidence of the
hanging problem actually having anything to do with ICU.  The warning
you're getting is not related to the hanging....libicudata is a shared
library containing only static data and no code.  Other things warn
about it too, but it seems to be kosher and shouldn't be related to
this problem.  I can definitely reproduce the bug that you are
reporting, but when I look at a stack trace, I don't see it as being
inside of ICU.  I will, however, leave this bug open for the moment to
block ICU 3.6 from transitioning to etch until we can be sure that
this doesn't have anything to do with ICU or, alternatively, discover
conclusively that it does.
