I think these are different bugs.
In particular, 1102505 describes the inability to find the plugin path.
in my report 1102669, i identify that problem, work around it with the
LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable, and then demonstrate that there is *still* a
crash happening even with the workaround in place.
Fixing the 1102505 problem probably won't fix the 1102669 problem, so
they should not be conflated.
