There's a conflict between fglrx-driver and xserver-xorg-core. When I try to
install the fglrx-driver package, I get a message error that reports a conflict
with the xserver-xorg-core package.

$ aptitude -y install fglrx-driver

The result is that I can't install the package due to that conflict.

I have tried the same in a i386 computer, and the problem doesn't happen so
I guess this conflict is exclusive of the amd64 architecture.

Thanks for you help.

This is fixed in the upload of 8.28.8-1.2, and is only awaiting a build of
the package for the amd64 architecture. (This will probably require a
hand-build by the maintainer or someone else, since the normal autobuilders
don't build non-free.)

Cheers,
