I am aware of the alignment errors but don't know what to do about
them short of rewriting half the upstream code. Maybe there is some
attribute or something one can use to get gcc to do the right thing?
Anyway. Could you remove the -Werror flag and see if it builds and
more importantly if it works then please? The package has never been
run on !i386/amd64 so anything could happen. Don't use any important
data for it.
