I didn't know that it was not buildable in stable either (in my mind
this bug was related to the upgrade of bindgen).
I have submitted a bookworm update.

Just to clarify: I reported the bug in this way:

Control: close -1 0.1-9
Tags: ftbfs bookworm
because I'm told that's the proper way when we have version tracking.
[ I personally still don't like that. To me, a bug should be open when
"there is still work to do", which includes fixing ftbfs bugs in stable,
as in this case, but several release managers insist that those bugs
should be closed, and I don't want to discuss with them about this ]
