Subject: AMD64: nvidia-glx deadlock upon upgrade to x11-common
Package: nvidia-glx
Version: 1.0.8178-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
I'm left with a deadlock situation - and non-functional X setup - after
initiating the upgrade to x11-common (Xorg 7.0).
nvidia-glx can't be upgraded since it depends on
nividia-kernel-1.0.8756, which is
unavailable.
Any attempts to work around this are halted by the fact that even 'dpkg
-r --force-all nvidia-glx' results in the following issue:
dpkg-divert: rename involves overwriting '/usr/lib/libGL.so.1.2' with
different file '/usr/lib/nvidia/libGL.so.1.2.xlibmesa', not allowed

Although the submitter may have just missed the point about building a
kernel module I am closing this bug now as there has been no reply.
