Package: python3-django-rq Version: 3.0-1 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable X-Debbugs-Cc: jarl.gullb...@gmail.com
Dear Maintainer, python3-django-rq 3.0-1 depends on python3-rq >= 1.14, but the upstream version of django-rq depends on rq >= 2 and uses several features only available in rq 2.0 and above. Most, if not all, use of django-rq in Debian is broken at the moment due to the dependency mismatch. These issues mostly present as unresolvable import errors (in particular, the most common one is in https://github.com/rq/django-rq/blob/v3.0/django_rq/utils.py#L7) or argument mismatches. Please let me know if there's any additional information I can provide. I'm not certain what the most non-invasive resolution to this issue would be, but if it is possible to update the version of python3-rq shipped in Trixie to at least 2.0 that would certainly do it. -- System Information: Debian Release: trixie/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 6.12.22-amd64 (SMP w/2 CPU threads; PREEMPT) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory UTF-8), LANGUAGE=en_GB:en Shell: /bin/sh linked to /usr/bin/dash Init: systemd (via /run/systemd/system) LSM: AppArmor: enabled Versions of packages python3-django-rq depends on: ii python3 3.13.3-1 ii python3-django 3:4.2.20-1 ii python3-redis 5.2.1-1 ii python3-rq 1.16.2-1 python3-django-rq recommends no packages. python3-django-rq suggests no packages. -- debconf information: perl: warning: Setting locale failed. perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings: LANGUAGE = "en_GB:en", LC_ALL = (unset), LC_CTYPE = (unset), LC_NUMERIC = "sv_SE.UTF-8", LC_COLLATE = (unset), LC_TIME = (unset), LC_MESSAGES = (unset), LC_MONETARY = "sv_SE.UTF-8", LC_ADDRESS = "sv_SE.UTF-8", LC_IDENTIFICATION = "sv_SE.UTF-8", LC_MEASUREMENT = "sv_SE.UTF-8", LC_PAPER = "sv_SE.UTF-8", LC_TELEPHONE = "sv_SE.UTF-8", LC_NAME = "sv_SE.UTF-8", LANG = "en_GB.UTF-8" are supported and installed on your system. perl: warning: Falling back to a fallback locale ("en_GB.UTF-8"). locale: Cannot set LC_ALL to default locale: No such file or directory
