Control: found -1 endless-sky/0.10.10-1 Control: reopen -1 As much as I'd like to see a new release of endless-sky get into Debian stable, the debian/copyright file in the 0.10.10-1 version of the package remains incomplete. The debian/copyright file needs to be modified by reconciling its contents with the upstream project's top-level copyright file.
One major complication exists in that several image files in the source tree are documented in the top-level copyright file as being subject to the Unsplash license, a DFSG-incompatible license. In some cases it may be possible to simply exclude these DFSG-incompatible files using a Files-Excluded header[1][2] in the debian/copyright file. [1]https://wiki.debian.org/UscanEnhancements#Files-Excluded_field_in_debian.2Fcopyright [2]https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/debmake-doc/ch08.en.html#files-excluded Long term it would be best to work with upstream to replace DFSG-incompatibly-licensed files with compatibly-licensed replacements. I'm working on updating the debian/copyright file locally, but I have my doubts I'll be able to finish it by the Trixie soft-freeze next week. If anyone would like to collaborate on this, please reach out and I'll be happy the share my work-in-progress. -- Plasma (plasma41 on Libera Chat and OFTC)
