Package: vim-runtime
Version: 1:7.0-035+1
Severity: serious
Justification: DFSG

Hi,

Currently, part of vim's documents (user manaul and reference manual)
are using OPL license, which is considered as DFSG-incompatible[1]. You
can verify this info by typing ":help manual-copyright" in vim editor.

An letter[2] was sent to debian-legal for requesting comments.

Thanks.

As you can read in the bug report, according to one of the FTP Masters
(James Troup), the OPL license without options is fine for main. That
comment is authoritative for us Vim maintainers, since the FTP Masters
have the last word about what is acceptable in the various sections of
the Debian archive and what is not.

Since the Vim manual is licensed as OPL without options, I'm closing the
bug with the present mail.

Cheers.
