I installed initramfs-tools 146 again, regenerated the buggy inird image
and compared the content of the 145 and 146 initrd.
After using lsinitramfs and sorting the files, it appears that in
*working* initrd, the kernel modules are not compressed while they are
in the non working one.
e.g
initrd 146:
usr/lib/modules/6.6.80/kernel/fs/ext4/ext4.ko.xz
initrd 145:
usr/lib/modules/6.6.80/kernel/fs/ext4/ext4.ko
Note that modules images are compressed in the regular fs (non initrd)
eg : /lib/modules/6.6.80/kernel/fs/ext4/ext4.ko.xz
