This is a rather open-ended topic. The most basic information would be which version of the display server you are using and what display hardware and drivers your system is using. https://wiki.debian.org/Wayland looks rather intimidating but is probably worth a quick look if you need to pursue this topic further. -- If this were a real .signature, it would suck less.
