Package: elpa-dape
Version: 0.21.0-1
Severity: grave

k4r4b3y on IRC reported that the current elpa-dape is having the issue
described in this upstream issue[1]. Due to a limitation of package
version handling[2], dh-elpa detects that jsonrpc is shipped with Emacs
and considered the dependency as satisfied, where it actually requires a
newer version to work correctly.

I'm marking this bug as RC, and preparing emacs-jsonrpc for submission
in the meantime hoping to meet the Trixie freeze deadline for it to
get sponsored and graduated form the NEW queue.

 .
   * New upstream release
   * Depends on debhelper >= 13.24 for automatic CHANGELOG.org handling
     - Drop override_dh_installchangelogs in d/control; no longer needed
   * Add explicit dependency on elpa-jsonrpc >= 1.0.25 (Closes: #1094421)
     - dh-elpa doesn't handle version of Emacs built-in packages well yet.
   * Run 'wrap-and-sort -ast'
