Bugs are only closed automatically for sourceful uploads, and the versioned close previously sent gave the BTS accurate information about the state of this bug (TTBOMK) -- your reopen removed that bug state unnecessarily. As for getting the package built, both arm and i386 should be taking another crack at xawtv now.
