Hi, I'm packaging a DICOM -> NIfTI converter which uses the CTN library. I had to discover that the converter does not work on AMD64 machine, while everything is ok on i386. I tracked the bug down to the DCM_OpenFile() call. Originally I wanted to create a minimal demo that shows the bug and ask for help concerning a bug in the converter. But when I was about to prepare a demo dicom file I discovered that the whole ctn package is unusable on AMD64. I tried several dicom files and CTN commands. I only have access to a single AMD64 machine running etch/sid, so I was not able to confirm this bug on another machine. I was a bit unsure about the bug severity, but I think this is not just a normal bug, because it renders the package completely unsusable on this arch (given this bug is not limited to my machine).
