looks like both i915 and xe are under development. see modinfo for both
also intel-gpu-tools package might be worth a look too.
I'll link to a fedora thread that tries to put the current state of both
modules into a bit less of a driver developer perspective, like most of the
documentation on it I've been able to find so far.
https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/no-more-i915-graphics-driver-installed-loaded-after-upgrade-to-6-12-8-kernel/141915

there is also  a set of VA driver package that have fairly good descriptions of
what they suport
 search  the archives for va-driver-all
and these packages that the meta package includes
i965-va-driver
i965-va-driver-shaders
intel-media-va-driver

intel-media-va-driver-non-free
and
mesa-va-drivers
which pulls in all the various DRM packages

and probably more importantly *
firmware-intel-graphics

If your lenovo is an intel Gen12 or newer (the reason for this addition) than
the xe module was made of it's XE video hardware. Further, the i915 and ex
modules will not both load at the same time ( from what I've read ).

I'm still not sure exactly what hardware i915 module is supposed to support,
but I removed the module a few years after the the i915 package was removed
from the archives and have been using the va-* packages , without the module
loaded , since my chipset g43 isn't explicitly mentioned as supported by either
the module(s) or the packages and/or I'd still be using i810switch  which back
in the day started showing it's age (video mem limitations) as i915 was
starting to show up in experimental . (Some things never change).

Best regards
Billy
