While this was reported for Ubuntu, it also applies for Debian testing. Reason is that the installation directory is extern$mscdred instead of the required extern$mscred, caused by commit https://salsa.debian.org/debian-astro-team/iraf-mscred/-/commit/56fb1aa22.
