Indeed it is fired by the Vips 8.16.0 release, but the source of it
lies in ruby-vips. Already reported upstream and got a fix. The actual
patch is this [1].
Nice.
Unfortunately it seems this package is not
maintained, at least the last upload was two years ago. Meanwhile
three upstream releases were tagged, including a somewhat big (v2.2.0)
one.
ruby-vips maintainers, can we get a fix for this? It's blocking the imagemagick
transition, which is blocking the php one. I'll probably upload the fix to
DELAYED/2, but let me know if I should delay it longer or upload without delay,
or if you can just push the fix then all the better.
fwiw I'd prefer a minimal fix and not an update to 2.2.2, that can happen after
this fix is in testing though.
I have uploaded the minimal fix pointed by László to DELAYED/2, and submitted it
as a MR on salsa. Let me know if I can reschedule it, in order to finish the
imagemagick transition.
Cheers,
Emilio
