I just confirmed that this FTBFS still occurs in current Sid. However, upstream 4.36 - as found by uscan and which contains the patch from the linked upstream bugreport - builds fine once I disable debian/patches/0001-Avoid-libreswan-build-failures-on-mipsel-Closes-8544.patch that also had already been applied upstream.
