Control: tags -1 + pendingHi bigon,as I don't want to see nut removed from trixie/testing, I've uploaded a fix for #1067790 (which is now RC) to DELAYED/7 (based on Helmut's debdiff).I've also tried to address #1064670 by marking test_daemons_pid as flaky. This is obviously only a stopgap solution until a proper fix is found. Unfortunately I don't know the nut package well enough to provide such a fix.A full debdiff is attached. Please let me know if I should delay further. Regards, Michael
I cancelled the NMU because of helmut mbiebl: also worse now. since libnutscan2t64 has been in sid for a while, people will have it installed
mbiebl: so your reverstion to libnutscan2 will fix the bookworm -> sid upgrade, but at the same time, it'll cause file loss on the unstable -> unstable upgrade
mbiebl all the more reason to sort this out sooner than later do you think we need precautions for sid users?(btw, I'm still a bit miffed that the t64 transition was done so sloppily, with many packages being renamed that actually didn't need it)
helmutwe learned that Conflicts are ineffective due to how dpkg treats them, but they avoid practical problems most of the time
mbiebl helmut: I've cancelled the NMU for the time being helmutI suggest upgrading the Replaces of libnutscan2 to Conflicts for one month and then dropping back to Replaces or wait the dropping back to Replaces is unnecessary as bookworm won't have any libnutscan2t64 and then those Conflicts are a trivially satisfied relation
so just upgrade to Conflicts there and I don't think people will complain
