I reopened this bug report (which has become RC in the mean time [1]), as the latest upload 3.20240813.1 did not incorporate the changes from the NMU done by Chris in 3.20240531.1+nmu1.

We can offer to do another NMU in case you are busy. It would be better though if you (re)apply those changes from [2] and do a follow-up upload yourself.

Not sure if your concerns mentioned in [3] were the reason for you to not ack the NMU. But given that this change has been in effect for over 2 months without any bug reports and given Chris' reply [4] I think we should be good here.
