Package: podman
Version: 5.2.0+ds1-5
Severity: serious
Justification: do not introduce aliased files into trixie
User: helm...@debian.org
Usertags: dep17m2

Hi,

thank you for moving aliased files to /usr in 4.9.5+ds1-1 and closing
#1073740 in testing and unstable. Even 5.0.x has its aliased files
moved, but now in current 5.2.x uploads to experimental, aliased files
are back:

 * /lib/systemd/system-generators/podman-system-generator
 * /lib/systemd/system/podman-auto-update.service
 * /lib/systemd/system/podman-auto-update.timer
 * /lib/systemd/system/podman-clean-transient.service
 * /lib/systemd/system/podman-kube@.service
 * /lib/systemd/system/podman-restart.service
 * /lib/systemd/system/podman.service
 * /lib/systemd/system/podman.socket
 * /lib/systemd/user-generators/podman-user-generator
 * /lib/systemd/user/podman-auto-update.service
 * /lib/systemd/user/podman-auto-update.timer
 * /lib/systemd/user/podman-kube@.service
 * /lib/systemd/user/podman-restart.service
 * /lib/systemd/user/podman.service
 * /lib/systemd/user/podman.socket

If this automatically resolves itself when you merge experimental into
unstable, all is well and you may just close this bug with the merging
upload. If not, this bug is meant to prevent the aliased files that are
now in experimental uploads from entering trixie.

I also appreciate a reply explaining why these were reintroduced (and
I'm hoping for something along the lines of "by accident"). If there are
any problems with moving the files, please let me know.

Helmut
