Keeping this bug open as requested by originator. This bug will be closed once

Hi. Closing this bug was perfectly ok, because the package builds ok with
gcc-14 indeed:

https://buildd.debian.org/status/package.php?p=prctl

All those build logs that you see in green are successful builds, and they
were made with gcc-14, because gcc-14 was already the default four days ago.

I believe you are interpreting the original message in a non-standard way.
Let me translate it to plain English:

The original report said this:

"Please keep the issue open until the package can be built in
a follow-up test rebuild".

Apparently, you interpreted this in the following way:

"Please keep this open until I actually rebuild it again in another test
rebuild"

However, for mass bug filings like this one, the usual meaning is like this:

"Please keep this open until there is a release of the package in unstable
which builds ok with gcc-14".

i.e. the important thing here is not that the bug reporter himself has
to make another test rebuild before the bug may be closed, but the fact
that he *could* do it now and it would work.

And that's indeed the case: if he would test the package right now,
it would work, the successful build logs above prove it, so unless
I'm missing anything, the bug is fixed in unstable and it was
completely ok to close it four days ago using the changelog.

Thanks.
