Severity: serious

Hi,

in #1076619 it was reported that usernames ending with backslashes
break useradd/usermod/userdel, etc (from src:shadow).
Allowing backslashes was a Debian patch. To fix #1076619,
backslashes are now forbidden. However, adduser's autopkgtests
assume that backslashes are good to use.

Please stop using backslashes.

I've filed this as sev: serious, as it prevents the fix for #1076619
from entering testing, and the release-team considers packages
out-of-sync between testing and unstable to have an rc-bug.

Chris
