Reading all comments in https://bugs.debian.org/877016 , I think a proper step might be orphaning the package so that those who really want to do something on top of the dead upstream codebase can get get code modifications packaged. Please let me know asap if you have any comments or objections on that; otherwise I expect do mark the package as orphaned after 1 month of time. Thanks, Boyuan Yang
