Am I understanding you correctly that you mean it violate the "Two different packages must not install programs with different functionality but with the same filenames" statement of policy 10.1? It is not obvious to me that this applies to two packages, one with /usr/bin/arcstat and another with /usr/sbin/arcstat. What make you sure it violate policy? In any case, I guess one way to avoid two binaries in $PATH with the same name is to move one of them out of $PATH, for example by moving the zfs binary to /usr/lib/zfs/arcstat. Another way would be to rename it to /usr/bin/zfs-arcstat. Both approaches would make the Debian location incompatible with ZFS on other platforms. -- Happy hacking Petter Reinholdtsen
