Package: stunnel
Version: 2:3.26-3
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable

Created a certificate and a key, using

openssl req -new -x509 -days 730 -nodes -out stunnel-cert.pem -keyout
stunnel.pem

stunnel 3.25-3 used to work. Upgrading to a higher version, I get:

Jan 31 16:21:29 carter stunnel[14541]: Using '25' as tcpwrapper service name
Jan 31 16:21:29 carter stunnel[14541]: Could not load DH parameters from
/etc/ssl/certs/stunnel.pem

Jan 31 16:21:29 carter stunnel[14541]: SSL_CTX_use_certificate_chain_file:
error:0906D06C:PEM routines:PEM_read_bio:no start line

-7 says that stunnel3 is deprecated, so upgraded to version 4:

Jan 31 16:22:26 carter stunnel: LOG5[14635:46912510151392]: stunnel 4.14 on

Still, I am unable to run my mail service thru stunnel.

If more help is needed, please, do not hesitate to ask.

Hi,

Hi

Just got my server in shape, and installed stunnel4 from scratch, and not it
works.

Have not done anything, so i guess we can close this bug unless other people
continue having the problem.

Cheers,

I agree with you. What do you think of removing stunnel3 to keep only stunnel4 (on put stunnel4 on stunnel package) ? The only problem is that it can broke user scripts that use stunnel3 package (but there is a perl compatibility script).

Best Regards.
