It is really forbidden to write in the home directory of the buildd? or
is it a configuration problem? Half of the build daemons have built sdcc
successfully.

I asked that, because some tools used during build time want to save
their configuration into the home directory. That should be the case of
lyx, but as it is not done due to the bug, I added the command to the
debian/rules file manually, hence the "mkdir -p ~/.lyx ...".
