Hi,

This package's autopkgtest failed with rails 6 currently in
experimental. rails 6 will be uploaded to unstable in 2 weeks, so
please make sure this package is ready for rails 6. The severity of
this bug will be raised to serious after rails 6 is uploaded to
unstable.

But it seems to be unmaintained upstream https://github.com/fixlr/codemirror-rails/issues/61 so it is better to remove this package and use libjs-codemirror directly. Another option may be rails-assets.org, but that service seems unmaintained as well.
