Package: libtiff-tools
Version: 3.7.2-5
Severity: important
After looking at the patch as discussed in #369819
| snprintf(path, sizeof(path), "%s.tif", fname);
and comparing to the source of 3.7.2-5
| snprintf(fname, sizeof(fname), "%s.tif", fname);
[ build-tree/tiff-3.7.2/tools/tiffsplit.c l.65 ]
I do not wonder any longer why tiffsplit suddenly stopped working and
always produced a single file named "D" instead.
Please fix ASAP.

I'm hoping that this email will cause this bug, already marked as
fixed in 3.8.2-5, to be marked as fixed in 3.7.2-6 and 3.8.2-5 so that
it will be clear that the bug is no longer present in sarge. If this
changes the done version to 3.7.2-6, it will be acceptable even though
inaccurate because 3.8.2-5 is already in etch.
