Control: severity -1 important I'm downgrading the severity because the app does still run. But if you run it from the command line, there are lots of errors like this:
Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/gimp/2.99/plug-ins/python-console/python-console.py", line 20, in <module> gi.require_version('Gimp', '3.0') File "/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/gi/__init__.py", line 126, in require_version raise ValueError('Namespace %s not available' % namespace) ValueError: Namespace Gimp not available GIMP-WARNING: gimp: gimp_wire_read(): error Also, see my suggestion about whether it makes sense to reintroduce the gimp-python binary package and then we could likely move this dependency there. Also, there are now JavaScript and Lua plugins. I explicitly disabled them with my recent upload, in part because I don't know if we want Gimp to depend on gjs and Lua or whether those plugins should be in a separate binary package. (This should be a separate bug report but I'm mentioning it here since it could be related.) Thank you, Jeremy Bícha
