Ah, yes, gnome-python-extras is the source package,
python2.4-gnome2-extras is one of the binary packages.
Anyways, as far as I can see python2.4-gnome2-extras has been renamed
to python-gnome2-extras, and the version (of python2.4-gnome2-extras)
you have is quite surely too old.

Please try something like 'apt-get install python-gnome2-extras' and
check /usr/share/doc/python-gnome2-extras/changelog.Debian.gz
to be >= 2.14.0-2 after that. If that fixes the problem, I'll add
a versioned dependency on that...
