procmail is a key package, so it will not be autoremoved. This bug is merely to

I have immediately closed this bug with the version in unstable, so if that
version or a later version migrates, this bug will no longer affect testing. I
have also tagged this bug to only affect sid and trixie, so it doesn't affect
(old-)stable.

If you believe your package is unable to migrate to testing due to issues
beyond your control, don't hesitate to contact the Release Team.

Hello. The issue with procmail is that I packaged the long awaited 3.24 version
from the author, but it had a regression (Bug #1028356).

Because the release was close, I raised the bug to "serious" to prevent the
migration.

Downgrading the bug and letting the package migrate to testing would probably
fix
this bug you have just filed, but somehow I feel that the current version in
trixie
is still "better" than the version in sid, so I don't see how that would improve
anything from the point of view of the end user.

In either case, I've just (privately) forwarded this (by email) to the author
to see if
he can help to fix the regression, as the github issue I opened for that is
still unanswered.

Thanks.
