Dear Pedro, Indeed. Please see https://bugs.debian.org/958853 for more on this. Packaging a newer version of anki is a major undertaking (the whole package architecture has changed - it is now a mixture of Rust and Python, with some Javascript thrown in as well), and I don't currently have the time to work out how to do it. Anki will not be in the soon-to-be-released Debian 12 (bookworm), and will only be in trixie (the next Debian release) if I or someone else has the time to work out how to package it.
