This was done upstream recently in the (still unreleased) 5.7.

This is tagged as https://github.com/linuxmint/cjs/releases/tag/master.mint21 so maybe this is worth importing now?
It would be nice to get rid of the old mozjs78 with bookworm.

hi, this is one of the automatic tags for CI tests of latest commit and not a version

I don't think is a good idea include a recent rebase of cjs for next stable near full freeze with significant risk of bug/regression of cjs it self, cinnamon and its applet.

I probably don't have enough time recently to do good tests on it, try to add/enable cjs-tests (and also do more complete autopkgtest) and do good cinnamon testing with it.

Seems also strange to me you rejected minor thing like https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=998105#109 and proposed this, I suppose is for security risk of unsupported mozjs, even if FWIK relating to use of cjs should be more very minor, or maybe I'm wrong?

Someone seems have already tried to use it, I'll to ask to them an opinion on the new version and if they found any bugs/regressions to evaluate possible add of snapshot in experimental when I'll have time.
