Package: sane-utils
Version: 1.2.1-1
Severity: serious

Hi,

during a test with piuparts I noticed your package removes files that
were installed by another package.
This was observed after an upgrade from bullseye to bookworm.

>From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...):

1m1.4s ERROR: FAIL: debsums reports modifications inside the chroot:
  debsums: missing file /usr/share/man/man5/sane-umax_pp.5.gz (from
libsane-common package)

I don't get what sane-utils.preinst is intended to do. Both files
it is going to delete were owned by sane-utils in bullseye, so dpkg
will take care of them. Appropriate Breaks+Replaces seem to be in
place for moving one of the files to libsane-common.

cheers,

Andreas
