Indeed, I have tested it yesterday too and the scripts now breeze through without bailing out. I would like to keep the bug, and will solve it by adding a versioned build-dependency on Fontforge to ensure it will always build properly.
Please keep in mind, that I've accepted a pull request from Janitor for the package. So, please issue "git pull" before working on the package. Hilmar -- sigfault
