Eh, how do you figure? The current version of libsvn-core-perl has a

How is it a subversion problem if svn-buildpackage requires compatible
implementations of libsvn-core-perl and subversion on the system, when
neither of these packages on its own depends on the other?

libsvn-core-perl stops working if you upgrade subversion to the sarge
version. After upgrading libsvn-core-perl to sarge it works again. A
possible solution would be that either subversion or libsvn0 (I am not
fully sure) gets a versioned Conflicts to older versions of
libsvn-core-perl. Or the problem is somewhere else but I am pretty
sure it is not a bug of svn-buildpackage because it has not been
touched at all.
