I can't reproduce this build failure. The reproducibility builds at https://tests.reproducible-builds.org/debian/rb-pkg/unstable/amd64/pygmsh.html have consistently been successful, apart from one failure around the same time in May on arm64. freeimage was updated just after this bug report.
