Package: librust-once-cell-dev
Version: 1.12.0-1
X-debbugs-cc: tsimo...@debian.org

Simon Quingley just uploaded a new version of rust-once-cell.

Unfortunately the binary package librust-once-cell-dev resulting from this
upload is not installable. It has two dependencies that are not satisfiable.
librust-atomic-polyfill-0.1+default-dev and librust-parking-lot-core-0.9-dev

rust-atomic-polyfill is not currently in Debian, nor is it in the new queue
it looks like Sylvestre started packaging it but never actually uploaded it.
The previous version of once-cell was patched to remove the atomic-polyfill
dependency but this patch was dropped without explanation in Simon's upload.

rust-parking-lot-core is in Debian but is at version 0.8.5, I have not
yet investigated what it would take to upgrade it or how feasible it would.
be to make the new version of once-cell work with the older parking-lot-core.

Simon does not appear to be a member of the rust team on salsa, nor do
the commits for this or other uploads appear to have been pushed to his
personal account there.

Simon: what is your intent here? can you push your commits somewhere?
do you intend to fix the broken librust-once-cell package or do you need
help with it? do you wish to join the rust team?

--- Begin Message --- I make a 1.12.0-2 upload reinstating the patch to drop atomic-polyfill and adding a new patch to switch the version of rayon-core to the version that is in debian. once-cell is now installable again.
