Hi, I've been looking at this, and I've been able to remove and build most of it so far. It just needs some more work in adjusting configure script and Makefiles and things like that. I removed the following dirs/files which all seem to be unused, or easely worked around: arlib/ ElectricFence/ sntp/ util/ansi2knr.c util/ansi2knr.1 html/build/hints/solaris-dosynctodr.html libntp/adjtime.c include/adjtime.h include/rsa_md5.h libntp/md5c.c include/timepps-SCO.h include/timepps-Solaris.h include/timepps-SunOS.h kernel/tty_chu_STREAMS.c ports/winnt/libntp/messages.mc ports/winnt/include/hopf_PCI_io.h scripts/monitoring/lr.pl scripts/monitoring/ntp.pl scripts/monitoring/ntploopstat scripts/monitoring/ntploopwatch scripts/monitoring/ntptrap scripts/ntpver.in
If I didn't forget something, that should leave the following files: libparse/clk_wharton.c ntpd/refclock_neoclock4x.c I'm going to start by contacting the copyright holders of those 2 files. If needed, it shouldn't be too hard to disable those 2 and remove them too. After that, I'll start contacting the copyright holders of for some of the other files.
