Live system? You mean like for a live CD? That would be something m68k can live without. Sorry for not answering, I started a native build of linux-2.6.17 yesterday, it seems it will take approximately another 24h to finish. With that I hope that the kernel-headers problems are fixed for m68k, but I can only report on that after I did some test builds. Everything just takes a little longer on m68k. I am a little suprised that a kernel build takes more than 20h now on m68k, the last builds I did with linux-2.4 took maybe 6h per subarchs.
