I did try running a debdiff on adwaita-icon-theme before uploading because I was concerned that icons might have been dropped. My debdiff came up clean but maybe I did it wrong. When I asked in #gnome-design before uploading, I was told emphatically that no icons were dropped in the 42 series but that these symbolic app icons would be dropped early in the 43 release: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/adwaita-icon-theme/-/issues/163 Jeremy
