I confirm this. Thank you for reporting this observation.

Based on the discussion on this bug I suppose that python3-click 8.x
breaks python3-click-threading < 0.5.0, but does not declare that. So
what we see here is people upgrading their python3-click and wondering
why vdirsyncer breaks. Then when you upgrade python3-click-threading
(which happens to have migrated to testing now), vdirsyncer works again.

So testing and unstable are fixed now (as far as I can tell), but
partial upgrades are still broken. In order to fix partial upgrades
(which are relevant for the next stable release), python3-click must
declare the breakage:

    Breaks: python3-click-threading (<< 0.5.0)

I've updated the bug metadata accordingly.
